Meetup is a website that helps people find informal groups who share similar interests, based on your zip code. The website allows the group to set a meeting time and location. The location is only available to people who have joined the group. Meetup is different than social networking groups like Facebook because you actually meet the people.

We are including a link to Meetup on this website to help you find other people who are starting a business or are in business.

There is no charge to set up an account with Meetup and join a group. You can also organize a group. Organizers are responsible for a small fee (about $20 a month) - and because of that, the group usually charges a fee at the meeting to pay for the cost.
